The World Affairs Councils of America is an independent nonprofit that relies on philanthropic and volunteer support to sustain its national programs and serve its more than 90 Member Councils across the country. We offer a variety of ways that you can get involved and make a difference.
Global awareness, international cooperation, and stimulating public learning early on has never been more important. WACA and World Affairs Councils provide unique opportunities to engage with national and world leaders and a broad cross-section of the U.S. public to increase understanding of foreign policy challenges and critical global issues. With balanced, authoritative, and nonpartisan programs, our Councils encourage effective, inclusive participation of intellectually curious global citizens.
We encourage your to join a local World Affairs Council, become a member of WACA's 1918 Society leadership circle, and work with us. We strive to shape our communities so that they are better informed about world affairs and more involved in opportunities that transcend borders.
