The Peoria Area World Affairs Council's mission is to bring the world to Central Illinois. They do this by offering a variety of engaging world affairs programs and educational initiatives that provide opportunities for face-to-face learning and dialogue with global leaders, business executives, diplomats, policy experts, ?social innovators, and distinguished opinion makers. The Council's programs bring national and international experts to the Peoria area; cater to a diverse, multi-generational audience; and promote a better understanding of international history, culture, and current events, thereby enabling local communities to better compete, collaborate and make informed decisions.
