The WACA National Office partners with think tanks, foundations, NGOs, corporations, and occasionally government agencies to arrange timely "national conversations" at several World Affairs Councils across the country on critical international topics.
Presented by Combating Terrorism Center at West Point
The World Affairs Councils of America sponsored an Engage America Speaker Series on the Six Top National Security Issues for the 2012 Election featuring experts from the Combating Terrorism Center (CTC) at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Throughout the year, CTC experts led by Brian Dodwell, Director of Practitioner Education and an Instructor at CTC, traveled to various cities around the country to brief state and local law enforcement officials and counterterrorism practitioners. As part of these fully funded public education tours, CTC visited World Affairs Councils and addressed the pressing national security issues in the Middle East and South Asia as part of our Six Top National Security Issues Initiative.
