The WACA National Office partners with think tanks, foundations, NGOs, corporations, and occasionally government agencies to arrange timely "national conversations" at several World Affairs Councils across the country on critical international topics.
Presented by International Labour Organization for the U.S. and Canada
The International Labour Organization is devoted to promoting social justice and internationally recognized human and labour rights, pursuing its founding mission that social justice is essential to universal and lasting peace. The ILO brings together governments, employers and workers representatives of 187 member States to set labour standards, develop policies and devise programs promoting decent work for all women and men. The ILO Office for the United States and Canada (ILO US-CA) represents the ILO and ensures that its core priorities and interests, policies and experience are disseminated among key stakeholders.
WACA and the ILO US-CA launched our partnership three years ago for Academic WorldQuest, which is continuing this year in the AWQ Study Guide topic "The Future of Supply Chains." In this Engage America Series, we aim to have expert speakers convey a multifaceted, in-depth understanding of key labor issues to communities across the United States.
