Virtual Programs

As part of strengthening Councils around the country, WACA’s Council Webinar Series give Council staff, board members, and volunteers a chance to connect with experts and each other to exchange insights. Council professionals and volunteers engaged in specific aspects of Councils’ work gather over Zoom to meet others in the WACA network, share questions and ideas, explore innovative strategies, and problem-solve together.

New to Academic WorldQuest or need a refresher? AWQ 101 walks through how the program works, key resources, and what Councils need to know to host a local competition and participate in the national program.

WACA 101 offers an orientation to the World Affairs Council network for all new Council staff, leaders, and Board members – and anyone in the Council network looking for a refresher. In this 60-minute session, offered in the Spring and Fall, we’ll share about the history of Councils and the Council network, current benefits and opportunities for Councils, and leave plenty of time for Q&A.

Council huddles are network-wide conversations on emerging trends or issues of network, national, or global importance. Intended to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices, huddles are held quarterly and open to Council staff and board.
