Stephen Lackey

Adjunct Professor

Chatham University

Stephen Lackey joined Chatham’s faculty as an adjunct professor in 2018 following a distinguished 37-year career in banking and finance with BNY Mellon. Nearly a third of his tenure was spent living and working abroad—leading Asian-based business units and engaging with clients, regulators, rating agencies, and investors around the globe.

During his time at BNY Mellon, Stephen also served on the Bank’s Executive Committee. Today, his teaching centers on global business trends, the impact of China on world growth, and economic development across Asia.

Stephen is deeply committed to fostering global awareness through education and currently serves on the boards of the World Affairs Councils of America (Washington, DC), The Neighborhood Academy, and the Cooper-Siegel Library.
